AI Compliance Assistant

A HIPAA-trained assistant with the §164 citations, your current controls, and your evidence in context — not a generic chatbot with a disclaimer.

Administrative safeguards Physical safeguards Technical safeguards Privacy rule Breach notification

Generic chatbots do not know your controls, your evidence, or §164. AI Compliance Assistant is trained on both the rule and your account — so answers cite the specification and the evidence file, not a disclaimer.

What it does

  • Answers HIPAA-rule questions with §164 citations and current OCR guidance.
  • Answers your-program questions with references to your current controls and evidence files.
  • Drafts OCR document-request responses with citation lines for the reviewer to approve.
  • Logs every interaction so a compliance team can review what the assistant produced and signed.

How it maps to HIPAA

The assistant does not operate on PHI. It supports §164.316(a) policy and §164.308(a)(1) risk management workflows by making the rule and the evidence addressable, and preserves §164.316(b)(2) retention of its own outputs.

Where it fits

AI Compliance Assistant is an AI module capability. Data flow and model-usage detail is in the Trust Center; for the practitioner view on AI and ePHI, see HIPAA and AI tools.

Questions

Does the assistant see PHI?

No. The assistant operates on policy, control, and evidence metadata — not patient records. The underlying model is run under a BAA; subprocessor and data-flow detail is in the Trust Center.

Can it answer OCR response questions?

It can draft the first-pass answer with citations from your evidence store, which is what a compliance team wants to triage an OCR document request fast. A human still signs the response.
