Cookie Policy

This policy explains how SuperHIPAA, a product of LowerPlane, uses cookies and similar technologies on www.superhipaa.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more broadly.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let the site remember things about your visit — such as your preferences or whether you have been here before. “Session” cookies expire when you close your browser; “persistent” cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. Related technologies such as pixels and local storage work similarly, and this policy covers them too.
Cookies we use
We keep our cookie use deliberately minimal. The Site uses two categories:
Strictly necessary cookies. These are required for the Site to function — for example, remembering your cookie preferences, enabling form submissions, and supporting security features provided by our CDN (Cloudflare). They cannot be switched off through our controls because the Site does not work properly without them. They do not track you across other websites.
Analytics cookies. These help us understand how visitors use the Site — which pages are read, how people arrive, and where they drop off — so we can improve content and navigation. Analytics data is used in aggregate; we do not use it to build advertising profiles or track you across unrelated websites. Where we use HubSpot forms and analytics, HubSpot may set cookies to associate your form submissions with your visits, so that we do not ask you for the same information twice.
We do not use advertising or social-media tracking cookies on this Site.
How to control cookies
You have several options:
- Our cookie banner. Where required by law, we ask for your consent to non-essential cookies when you first visit, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in the Site footer.
- Browser settings. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, either wholesale or site-by-site. Check your browser’s help pages for instructions. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the Site, such as forms.
- Opt-out tools. Most analytics providers offer their own opt-outs, and browser signals such as Global Privacy Control are honoured where the law requires.
Deleting cookies also deletes your saved preference, so you may see the consent banner again on your next visit.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies on the Site are set by third parties acting on our behalf — currently Cloudflare (security and performance) and HubSpot (forms and analytics). These providers process data under contracts with us, as described in the subprocessors section of our Privacy Policy. We do not allow third parties to use cookie data from our Site for their own advertising.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our cookie use or the law changes. The effective date above reflects the latest revision, and material changes will be flagged on the Site.
